Wildlife sanctuaries are calling for the resignation of a West Texas mall manager for his alleged cruelty in removing a bat colony that has taken residence at the building. On Aug. 10, 181 bats were removed from the exterior of the Mall of Abilene with the help of Big Country Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Orkin of Abilene, and Bat World Sanctuary. However, since the rescue, Mall of Abilene Operations Manager Jason Moore has become the subject of public scrutiny concerning his alleged handling of bats that remained at the mall.
