LEGENDS OF TEXASEditor's Note: The story of John Chesney Crownover and his wife, Nancy Castleman Crownover, is told by his third great-grandson, Don Spencer. Don and his wife, Andrea, actively practice architecture in Texas and Colorado. They live part-time in southern Colorado, but call Hico, Texas home. Don is vice president of SFA's Old 300. He is a member of The Texas State Genealogical Society's "First Families of Texas", and The Sons of The Republic of Texas, David Crockett Chapter in Granbury.
